Stationed in Rockville, Connecticut, the 102d Army Band is the official musical emissary for the Connecticut Army National Guard.
Within the 102d Army Band, there are several musical groups which play a variety of music including classical, jazz, rock and many others. In addition to their concert band, they have multiple music performance teams, including: jazz combo, rock band, pop ensemble, brass quintet and duet teams.
This allows them to perform many different types of concerts and ceremonies. The 102d Band performs between 60-70 missions across the state of Connecticut a year and provides an excellent opportunity for Army musicians to earn money for college along with serving local communities.
